00.0%The main character of the manga, a young man called Shizuku Kanzaki, discovers the beauty of wine after his father, a famous wine critic, dies and leaves an unusual will: a description of 12 wines he considers to be the best in the world, comparing them to Jesus Christ's disciples.
The first person to find these "disciples" will inherit the father's wine collection, a contest that pits Shizuku against his adoptive brother, Issey Tomine, who works as a sommelier.

Kami no Shizuku is known to have boosted wine sales and popularize certain brands in the regions where it was published. La Revue du vin de France, the most prestigious wine magazine in France, awarded the series with the "Special Award of the Year" in 2010.
The series was published in English as The Drops of God by Vertical Inc., who released the first 8 volumes in 2-in-1 omnibuses from October 18, 2011 to June 19, 2012. Vertical released a 5th and final volume (subtitled New World) on September 25, 2012. The omnibus contained the 22nd & 23rd volumes of the series and was done so by the authors' request.
